Every year, Kavka welcomes some 90,000 visitors to various events, varying from workshops to concerts and killer parties. In an old school building, right in the centre, a place has been made for meeting, creation and experiment. With spaces for exhibitions, rehearsals and many other activities. Young talent is given the freedom here to blossom and showcase and various organisers get the chance to realise their projects and ideas.
In addition to its own activities and events, the Kavka building is also the base for a number of organisations such as Violencia, U-niek, Pegode and Jespo.
This bustling location with a cosy atmosphere makes the hardship of studying perhaps a little less difficult.

We try to make most of our public events accesible for people with reduced mobility. Contact us beforehand if you’re visiting Kavka and are in need of assistance so we can assure we can help you to the best of our abilities.
Kavka is an old building with multiple staircases. This means that some of the locations are hard to reach with wheelchairs. The Study360 accomodation is located on the ground so it’s accesible for everyone. The lobby on the ground level is a public space and if desired, studying is also possible in this area.
At the welcoming Krokbar Fabiola you will find Croques of all kinds and sizes. For focaccias, paninis and other delicacies, carry on to Pitten en Bonen, Cafématic or Local Store. You can also find something different to dine on at Como como. Basque tapas (pintxos) are served there from an 80-metre-long mini conveyor belt. You can end your day of hard swotting at Cafe The Joker. There, you can enjoy a stand-up comedy show every Wednesday from 8.30 pm.
Once you’ve filled your belly and your caffeine level is back on track, you can also add a sports break in the large courtyard. There is space for basketball and football.
