From old school to bustling site for talent

Every year, Kavka welcomes some 90,000 visitors to various events, varying from workshops to concerts and killer parties. In an old school building, right in the centre, a place has been made for meeting, creation and experiment. With spaces for exhibitions, rehearsals and many other activities. Young talent is given the freedom here to blossom and showcase and various organisers get the chance to realise their projects and ideas.

Kavka is unfortunately closed at this moment, except for students to study. This bustling location with a cosy atmosphere makes the hardship of studying perhaps a little less difficult.

Wheelchair accessibility

We try to make most of our public events accesible for people with reduced mobility. Contact us beforehand if you’re visiting Kavka and are in need of assistance so we can assure we can help you to the best of our abilities.

Kavka is an old building with multiple staircases. This means that some of the locations are hard to reach with wheelchairs. The Study360 accomodation is located on the ground so it’s accesible for everyone. The lobby on the ground level is a public space and if desired, studying is also possible in this area.

Time for a break

At the welcoming Krokbar Fabiola you will find Croques of all kinds and sizes. For focaccias, paninis and other delicacies, carry on to Pitten en BonenCafématic or Local Store.

Do you want to explore the neighbourhood further? Check out the Antwerp Student Guide with seven walks fine-tuned for students. Perfect to get some fresh air!

Opening hours and take-out services change quickly in times of corona, so make sure to first check these locations’ social media. That way you won’t end up standing in front of a closed door!
