What to see in Wilrijk? Or should we rather say Chillrijk! Besides the many leisure options available at the youth centre itself, you can also find a lot of options in the surrounding area. Near the youth centre, you will find sandwich store Panos, but also a lot of other lunch spots, such as Sushi Palace or Bistro Jules. Don't forget your goggles, because the swimming pool in Wilrijk is just a stone's throw away from your new favourite study spot. Those who like to relax in nature can visit Steytelinck Park. The real culture lovers will find themselves back in the Cultural Centre ‘De Kern’ after study hours. As for the others: let's go on an adventure in this part of Antwerp that is still unknown to many students!
Getting there
Departing the student neighbourhood you reach youth centre Vizit in no time taking bus 17. But also busses 180, 181, 182 or 183 or the tram will bring you to your destination. More into some exercise? Using your bike or Velo (Antwerp’s public bicycle system), you get there very easily. There's nothing like a brisk bike ride as a warm-up before a hard day of studying!
