If you got sick after you have studied at one of our locations, please call our emergency number immediately: +32 489 91 56 60. If we know when and where you studied before you got sick, we can get in touch with students that were at that location at that time as well.

Berchem Driekoningen

cc Berchem

To the theatre after all!

At ccBe they welcome all forms of performance art with open arms, but they have an especially deep appreciation for theatre and dance. You can find Berchem’s cultural centre at Direkoningenstraat, smack in the centre of the neighbourhood. That’s no coincidence, ccBe is rooted deeply in the neighbourhood and regularly opens its doors for collaborations and local organisations. Sadly, the plush seats of the theatre halls will remain empty until the end of December, but luckily they join the effort to help students study safely, together.

Time for a break

At Driekoningenstraat and the joining Statiestraat you can find ingredients from all over the world, pop-ups and stores from grandma’s era. Nearby you can also find an Albert Heijn for an (un)healthy study snack. Take a stroll through one of the side streets and get a nice coffee to go at Kornél or order dinner at Sonseveria, so you can treat yourself after a long day of cramming. You can get some fresh air in the nearby De Villegaspark or, a little further, the Albertpark.

Do you want to explore the neighbourhood further? Check out the Antwerp Student Guide with seven walks fine-tuned for students. Perfect to get some fresh air!

Opening hours and take-out services change quickly in times of corona, so make sure to first check these locations’ social media. That way you won’t end up standing in front of a closed door!

Getting there

Get sporty, grab the bike! Velo stations 061 – Victor Jacobslei and 021 – Driekoningen are a couple minutes walking distance from ccBe. Does it rain too hard and would you prefer the public transport? Buses 21, 32 and trams 7 and 15 stop at Berchem Driekoningen. Map out your perfect route with the route planner from De Lijn.
